Adrian Dobson
Actor ~ Singer ~ Musician
Adrian Dobson has been performing for over 30 years and has a wide range of experience as an actor, singer, musician, teacher, director and musical director. Musical Theatre is his forte and passion, and he has portrayed roles ranging from Gilbert & Sullivan (Frederick in "Pirates of Penzance") to Standards (Arvide in "Guys And Dolls"), and modern musical theatre (Anatoly-The Russian in "Chess"). He has also acted in straight plays, comedies, films, corporate videos, and on TV, including several dramas for the BBC, ITV, Sky & Netflix. In 2026, Adrian won Best Supporting Actor and the Pantomime Alliance Leicestershire awards for his role as Elvis in The Wizard Of Oz Pantomime. Adrian has also made his name locally as an accomplished stage producer, director and musical director of many productions.
He has a strong lyrical tenor voice with a large range, and has undertaken numerous concerts both as a soloist and as part of numerous groups and choirs. He plays piano and has both accompanied and performed as a musician in various genre, adding to this is his composition of a number of works.
He is a long-standing teacher of singing, acting, musical theatre, music theory and elementary piano (see his rates in the Music Services section). He also holds an up-to-date DBS and has particular strong experience with teaching children. Nearly all students pass exams under his tuition to Merit or Distinction level, and several past pupils are performing professionally, including on the West End. He has also recently been published as a narrator of 3 audiobooks - links to which can be found as follows:
